The wedding will take place in Umeå, about 40 minutes from Stockholm by plane. As the activities will take place on New Year’s Eve, make sure to do your reservations early, to not miss out on the fun. If you are travelling to Stockholm please take the chance to enjoy the capital. There is a lot to do. My top list is as follows:
• Go for a fika (coffee an pastry) in the old town
• Visit the Christmas market at Kungsträgården, if you are in town for that season.
• Visit the Vasa museum
• Go to Skansen outdoor museum
• Have lunch at Rosendals trädgård.
• Take a stroll in Old town and enjoy the ambience.
• Have a taste of some locally brewed beer with a slice of pizza at omnipollos hatt
• Rent a pair of ice skates and if you dare to try out ice skating in the Stockholm archipelago or go to the ice rink at Kungsträdgården.
• And lastly I dare you to go for an old Swedish tradition, who is in? Winter bathing at Saltsjöbadet
